I.
Purpose
1.
To acquire and document in a timely, accurate manner,
concise and up-to-date information pertaining to persons served whereabouts.
2.
To ensure persons served safety by verifying
appropriate location.
II.
Policy
It is the policy of Tarry house,
Inc to ensure the health and safety of our clients. To accomplish this, staff will monitor client
whereabouts verifying their presence or absence and perform hourly rounds. The “Hourly Rounds” checklist is designed to
records the names of all clients and visitors on pass to the facility, noting
their location on grounds or other locations such as: work, medical
appointments, general hospital or out in the community on their own.
III.
Procedure
1.
Each hour, staff will complete rounds and
verification of persons served.
2.
Each hour staff will document on the “Hourly
Rounds” form and initial upon completion.
3.
“Hourly Rounds
Sheets” will be filed and maintained for one (1) year.
4.
Any person who is unaccounted for will be checked
on and the appropriate notification made to the Recovery Specialist or Program Manager.
5.
Emergency notification and “AWOL” procedures are to
be followed per policy.
